The site and its joining process are very professional. The whole sign-up during our Betiton review took just a couple of minutes and is incredibly easy to complete.

Welcome Bonuses

It’s apparent in our Betiton review immediately that the brand wants to welcome both new sports betting and new online customers. As such, there is a welcome bonus for both.

Sports Betting Welcome Offer

The new player Betiton sports betting offer lets new customers bet $15 and get $10. This is a small offer, in all truth, and better sports betting bonuses are out there. Here are the main terms:

• Minimum wagering on sports betting is $15 to get a $10 free bet.
• First deposit of $10 or more is required.

As mentioned, while we appreciate in our Betiton review that sports customers aren’t forgotten about, a $10 free bet only is a fairly miserly offer from Betiton.

Casino Welcome Offer

Betiton doesn’t forget its new casino customers either. Betiton offers a welcome bonus for online casino players 100% Cashback as a Free Bet up to $50. The bonus breaks down like this:

• New depositing players only.
• Minimum deposit $10.
• First deposit 100% bonus + 50 free spins.
• Second deposit 100% bonus + 50 free spins.
• Third deposit 100% bonus + 50 free spins.
• Winnings gained via bonus spins come with a 35x wagering requirement.
• Bonuses also require a 35x wagering requirement.
• Full T&C’s apply.

Getting the bonus as a 100% deposit match is very fair. Even the fact that Betiton offers this over three deposits makes it easier for most players to get it. The sticking point as usual is the wagering requirement.

While we understand why wagering requirements are necessary, they are often now being overused by betting sites and we found that to be the case in the Betiton review.

Should you claim the whole $300, you will need to wager at least $10,500 before withdrawing cash. As well as this, anything you win with free spins is subject to the same requirement. So, let’s say conservatively that you win $250 from your free spins, you will then have to bet another $8750 before cashing out.

We know online casino players tend to wager more, however, there is a stark difference between getting a Betiton bonus of up to $300 and getting only a $10 free bet.

Available Betting Markets

We found many sports betting markets during our Betiton review – exact score, coin toss result, method victory, first to score and many more.

These markets are available on football, rugby, cricket, horse racing and more. The basics are covered by Betiton sport, but in truth rival betting sites have more options for New Zealand players.

A good part of the sports betting site is the live section. Odds are fair and up to the second, however, there is a heavy concentration on football so you may have to look elsewhere to bet live on your favourite sport.

The quantity is there for basic sports markets, even if the quality isn’t.

eSports

Although we didn’t find it easy to find while conducting our Betiton review, eSports betting is an option. Betiton offers odds for eFIFA and NBA eSports battle tournaments, for example. Markets include match betting, next goal, double chance, odd/even and both teams to score.

The selection is OK but doesn’t rival the very best betting sites out there. In all fairness, many online casino sites and sportsbooks still don’t offer odds on eSports. In this regard, Betiton has an edge on some rivals.

However, we must point out that there isn’t a huge choice of markets available and you won’t be able to use your free bet Betiton bonus either.

Casino

The online casino is the bread and butter for this brand. It was no surprise then that our Betiton review found a bigger casino offering than over in the sportsbook.

Slots are numerous, including all the favourites and some big jackpot titles. Major providers such as Yggdrasil, NetEnt and Microgaming are responsible for developing the games. They are all of a very high standard.

As well as slots, online casino players can play some classic table games. Blackjack and roulette are available in various forms, though no other table games are supported.

The more we looked at the Betiton casino, the more we realised the reliance on slots. While games produced by the likes of Microgaming are top-drawer, some variation would be nice.

It would be nice to see Baccarat, along with some good poker games.

Live Betting + Live Streaming

As we’ve touched on, Betiton offers live sports betting too, though no live streaming is offered. The latter is no longer a luxury either, especially not with so many rivals offering it.

Increasingly, sports punters are looking to place bets and watch live on the same platform. Live streaming, therefore, is becoming a must. It is hoped Betiton can add this in the near future.

There is live betting on the site, however. Our Betiton review found up to the second betting available on football, but nothing else. On the plus side, you can use your free bet on live matches. On the negative side, you won’t get live streaming and you’ll be limited to one sport only.

Promotions

At first glance, the Betiton offers page seems fairly comprehensive. However, upon further inspection, the deals for existing customers aren’t the best.

On top of the two welcome bonuses, Betiton offers a Loyalty Program, which we’ll look into later in this Betiton review. The two remaining ongoing promotions are:

Boostiton Offer

Players can get extra winnings on accumulators in sports markets. Boosts work like this:

Getting to the bigger end of this bonus is difficult. Major market rivals use a similar bet boost, but do not promote it heavily as a promotion as other, more valuable offers exist.

Cash Out Feature

You can cash out your sports bet early with Betiton. If you’ve placed a sports bet and it is doing well, you can lock in a profit by taking fewer winnings but ending the bet early.

Cashouts are a good feature but they are just that – a feature. This is not a real ‘promotion’ as such and is something offered as standard by many major bookmakers.

Loyalty Program

Known as the ‘Club’ or the ‘Loyalty Program’, we did find out how the VIP section works in our Betiton review. Players earn points as they play to climb the levels. There are seven levels to this, namely:

• New Member – 0 points needed. Fast cash-out and birthday bonus.
• Bronze – 10 points. As above, plus 5 Sunday Spins games.
• Silver – 60 points. As above, but with 10 Sunday Spins games.
• Gold – 350 points. As above, but with 20 Sunday Spins games.
• Platinum – 1000 points. Express fast cash-out, birthday bonus, 40 Sunday Spins games, live tournaments, higher deposit and cash-out limits, personalised offer, personal account manager, monthly cashback.
• Premium – by invitation. As above but with 50 Sunday Spins games and extra monthly cashback.
• Prestige – by invitation. As above, with even more monthly cashback.

It is excellent that all players can begin climbing the VIP ladder from the offset. As you can see though, the real VIP treatment doesn’t kick in until you get to at least Platinum level.

If you’re already a big spender or an avid casino player, it’s realistic to reach this level in the Loyalty Program. We love the rewards and the personal account manager making this worthwhile if you can get there without taking too many risks.

Mobile

We did the majority of our playing around in the Betiton review via mobile and found it very rewarding. The mobile site is quick, intuitive and largely mirrors the main desktop site.

It’s easy to navigate and comes with everything you need. All games and sports can be accessed via the browser on any iOS or Android device.

Customer support can be accessed, the welcome bonus including free bet can be used too. The mobile site is pretty much the way to go whether you need to bet on the move or not.

License and Security

A crucial part of our Betiton review was checking the security, fair play and active licenses of the brand. Betiton is fully licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority. The MGA is one of the best-known and most stringent authorities around.

Via the MGA, Betiton is kept to the very highest of standards. No issues have cropped up. All data is secured via SSL encryption and the privacy policy is fully up to date.

Usability

Using mostly the mobile sites, we found everything easy to find during the Betiton review. The menu allows you to join or log in, as well as find the casino, live casino, sports, promotions, loyalty club and customer support.

Each submenu opens up plenty of information but nothing is hidden too deeply. The sites are intuitive and fast, meaning no waiting around and no crashes.

The largely back colour scheme gives Betiton a professional look without destroying the fun. Top games and software providers mean the slots and the sportsbook are very well run, though of course they could be added to in future.

Payment Methods

Overall Betiton supports at least 19 different payment methods, though not all are available to Kiwis. In New Zealand, the banking options are:

• Visa (credit and debit) – withdrawal time 0-6 days.
• MasterCard (credit and debit) – withdrawals 0-6 days.

Elsewhere, bank transfers, Neteller, Skrill, MuchBetter, PayPal and many other payment methods are accepted. Our Betiton review however found only Visa and MasterCard available for players in New Zealand which was disappointing.

Deposits are instant, which is good, and withdrawals are quick too. We really do need to see much more choice in the future, however.

Customer Support

When looking for customer support via the main menu, you’ll be directed to an online form. Filling this in will prompt a response in around a day or so.

The FAQ section is a very comprehensive one in all fairness. The downside to that of course is that you’ll need to read through many articles before perhaps answering your queries and that’s only if your question is a general one and not personal to you.

Though not easy to find, there is a separate ‘Contact Us’ button that leads you to the live chat system. Live chat is always our preferred method of getting in touch with a betting site. This way, your query will be answered immediately by knowledgeable staff.

Responsible Betting

We did discover a comprehensive Responsible Gaming Policy during our Betiton review. Subcategories include Protection of Minors, Preventing and Managing Compulsive Gambling, Problematic Gambling, Restricting Accounts and Further Help.

All of these are up to date and very informative. Customer support is good here which backs up the strong Responsible Gaming policy. Thanks to this, we have no doubts that those potentially suffering from gambling-related harm can get help at Betiton and not be taken advantage of.

Our Final Betiton Review Verdict
